Great Christmas Present

Lisa always needs to one-up me when it comes to gift giving. This year she purchased tickets for a friend (Jeff Rowley) and I to travel to Las Vegas and attend the BYU vs Oregon State Bowl game. Then, she set things up so I could go on a mountain biking trip all day in St. George. It was awesome! My two day trip agenda consisted of the following:

Dec. 22nd
  • Leave at 6am for Las Vegas
  • Go to BYU basketball game at the Orleans Casino (BYU won 110 to 104)
  • Grab an In N Out Burger with Fries
  • Watch the BYU Bowl game (it was freezing but BYU killed Oregon State)
  • Travel to St. George for the night
Dec. 23rd
  • Pick up our awesome Cannondale full suspension bikes
  • Ride all day
  • Pick up some Mongolian BBQ
  • Head home to give my wife a big kiss
It was a great trip....thanks honey and thanks Jeff for keeping me company...good times:)

Here are a few pics and videos from the trip. ***Note*** The jumps we go over do not seem that big on video but in real life they were much bigger. I think Lisa is still laughing at how cool we thought we were.

Christmas 2009

Merry Christmas! Jonathan, the boys, and I spent Christmas Eve with my family at my parent's home. Our neighbors who are here from India for about 3 years came as well. Because they don't celebrate Christmas, we were able to teach them a little bit about what we do as a family for Christmas. We even had a "White Elephant" gift exchange.

Parker is the one without pants.
We got the boys bikes. They love them. Jonathan wasn't too happy about setting them up late at night--but I think it paid off the next morning.

Night out with my favorite girls!!!

I had a great "Girls' Night" with all my sisters and my wonderful mom. A little shopping, food, shopping, ice cream, and no little kids...can life get better than this. Thank you so much to my dad, brother, and brother-in-law for watching Parker and Jordan. Love ya fam!!

Goofy kids and more home improvements finished

This is our dining area. The other wall in the dining area still isn't decorated. Next week hopefully...

Parker and Jordan's Room
This is our spare, junk room. Because of this big, beautiful window the lighting makes it difficult to take pictures. These are somewhat akward angles.

Parker tends to stay in his high chair longer than Jordan. I just couldn't resist these pictures. They are surprisingly good at sharing...sometimes.

Jordan put this hat and boot on all by himself. He was very proud of himself.

Jordan loves picking out his clothing. He insisted upon wearing both of these Halloween shirts. He wore them for hours.
This is a great video. I don't know where these kids learn to be so goofy.

We have tons of snow!!!

Well, the boys absolutely love the snow--when they are in the house. Being outside is a different story. Parker cried if the snow got on his boots. So ended up having to carry him. And Jordan just didn't like it. We'll keep trying.

Just some winter fun

The boys are in the stage of not wanting to be dressed. One day all I could get them to wear was my clothing. Also notice our tree is decorated only half way up. Ohh the joys of motherhood.

Yesterday I decided to take the boys outside in the freezing cold. This picture doesn't show very well how funny these snow suits are. They looked like little walking puff balls. The temperature was so cold, Jordan's nose began to bleed. Stay tuned for more snow pictures!!! The boys are going to love making snowmen. They call them "Tall Tall Tall's" because of a song about a snowman that grew tall, tall, tall.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Parker is the middle of saying "No" to the picture.

Jordan was pretty excited about eating.

I was really excited about my jello. Pretzels on the bottom, cream cheese and Cool Whip in the center, strawberry jello with strawberries on top. I carefully made it, following the recipe to the "T". I put the lid on, put in my frig and didn't open it until time to eat. As you can see from the picture, I was mortified. The jello seeped down leaving the strawberries on top. The pretzels were soggy. Every one said it tasted good, but I was bummed. The next picture is what we found while eating dinner. I guess little Gavin (2 years old) liked the jello so much he thought he would spice up the mashed potatoes. What am I going to do when my boys can think of and do things like this.

Dessert was a hit with Jordan. He couldn't get enough of the real whipped cream.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Gingerbread houses at the end of the day topped it off. Our boys thought they were in heaven.

Cute times

Finish work in our house

Back in July we painted all of our house--every room except the laundry room and closets. Finally we are finishing the final touches. Crown molding in the living room is finished. The bead board in the dining area is finished but I need to get decor on the walls. Bedrooms will be finished this week and the bathroom will be finished this week. I also hope to finish my exciting decorative wall this week. Stay tuned for more home excitement.

The Flintstones

The magic of holidays has returned to my life. Watching the boys trick or treat was one of the cutest things ever. Thankfully Parker and Jordan don't know what candy is. They just thought they were getting cool new toys. They marched up to those doors and knew just what to do. Jordan, especially loved taking handfuls. He just kept sticking his hand in for more. The funniest was a bowl full of Smarties. Jordan just couldn't decide which one to take. Auntie Leslie flew in from Texas. And we had so much fun trick or treating with cousins Gavin and Rylee. Gavin could often be found sitting on the drive way trying to open his candy.

Just before bath time I let the boys sit on their little potty. This picture was too cute to pass up.

They are into shoes now!! Every day, most of the day, they are wearing my shoes around. The boots are a little difficult but they are really good at the tennis shoes.

Jonathan in Thailand

Jonathan spent a week in Thailand. He supposedly went there on business; however, from the looks of these pictures, he seemed to have a lot of fun. The company that Jonathan works for has an office in Thailand. A few months ago he began managing the office from here. Next year I will be going!!
