Welcome to Earth Brennan Carter!

I am finally getting pictures up of our sweet little Brennan. He was born on July 20th, right on his due date. My water broke around 3:15am, luckily we were sleeping at my parents' house, so we quickly got to the hospital. I could tell that he was going to come soon so we spent two nights at my parents' just to make it easier with Parker and Jordan.

Brennan was born at 9:10am weighing 7lbs 13oz and 19.5 inches long. He looked like a sumo wrestler baby. His eyes were all swollen which make them look very Asian and he was puffy. You can see it in the earlier pictures. He looked really funny but we still loved him. After those first few hours he started to look a lot better. And now he is the most precious little guy. He has the most beautiful hair. He has more than the Parker and Jordan.

My delivery was really great. What an amazing experience to bring a little baby into this world. I can not stop thanking my Heavenly Father for sending this little angel into our lives. I know that Brennan came from the presence of God and we have been entrusted to take care of him and teach him the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so grateful to be a mom. Even though Parker and Jordan were swinging from my living room curtains yesterday and pee on the bathroom floor because they aren't looking where they are pointing their pee, and throw temper tantrums multiple times a day, being a mom is the most important thing I can do in my life. I have to keep reminding myself of this simple but easily forgotten truth. (I can write this right now because all three of my children are asleep and have been for the last 2 hours. I'm feeling good right now.)

Life is good. Jonathan is a wonderful help, especially with entertaining Parker and Jordan in the evening. I am chopped liver when Jonathan is home. Unless, of course, I am going to leave. Then suddenly Parker and Jordan want only me. Jonathan just got a new position with his company that will be challenging and new. He doesn't feel adequate but the owner of the company feels he is the best for the new position. He is also getting ready for some triathlons at the end of this summer and into the fall.

Jordan decided to use the big boy potty the week before Brennan arrived. I tried forcing it but that got us no where. He had to make the choice on his own. He hasn't looked back since. I am so proud of him. Of course, I had just bought a box of 104 diapers for him. Oh well, I am saving them for Brennan even though it will be 2 years before he can wear them. Okay, I am going to be quiet now. I don't usually right so much.

This is Brennan. Compare the pictures with Parker and Jordan. I can definitely see the resemblance.

Papi and Papa (Jonathan's grandpa) came down to meet Brennan.

Outing to the splash fountain in Spanish Fork. Brennan slept the whole time.

Jonathan and I took a little trip to Manti the Saturday after Brennan was born. My mom had the boys so we enjoyed the day by the Manti temple. Brennan literally slept the entire time. That day he slept from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.

He looks really goofy in this picture. You can see the rash his skin got the day after he was born.
